Today I’m excited to announce the release of my new EP, Atlas: Epilogue, a 3-track EP containing a brand new song and a remix.
Atlas (epilogue) — The Closure
The new song, Atlas (epilogue), is a cinematic closure to the Atlas story. It was co-written by myself and the talented violinist and orchestra conductor Sabrina Stachel, who also performed the beautiful violin parts on the main song. The violin solo in Atlas (epilogue) comes from outtakes of Atlas, and if you listen carefully, you’ll notice the opening solo is the same as the outro of Atlas. Sabrina has also written additional string lines that add depth and emotion to this piece. 🎻
The visualiser for this song features magical northern lights footage from Finnish photographer Timo Oksanen. As a big fan of the aurora, I wanted to add an ethereal touch to the whole experience with those fascinating images.
Atlas (distant dream) – A Nostalgic Remix
The final track, Atlas (distant dream), is a remix that evokes feelings of nostalgia and symbolises that the Atlas story now lives in a distant past. It’s a nod to my late teenage years, when I used to record hundreds of music videos from MTV and VH1 on VHS tapes for later enjoyment. Oh, the pre-YouTube times…
The visualiser for this remix features a late-90s-MTV-style chyron and was created by capturing video signals from a real VCR. Enjoy the throwback to VHS vibes! 📺📼
